Surveying and mapping provide the basis for all planning
and engineering design. A comprehensive knowledge of surveying methods and
technologies is essential to assure the proper foundation for future planning
and engineering. R. J. Fisher and Associates, Inc. uses the latest
technology in electronic surveying equipment integrated with computer-aided
design (CAD) systems to assure accurate and cost-effective professional
services.
The staff at R. J. Fisher and Associates is cross-trained
in the field-to-finish survey and design methods. Normally the same staff
members who do the field survey work will also download the field data into our
CAD system, draft the base map, be involved with the project design and perform
the final construction stake-out. We have found that by giving our staff a
diverse range of responsibilities we are able to significantly increase the
quality of our surveying and design services. There is a thorough
understanding of what field information is necessary, how this information is
used, and why the design may or may not be modified during construction.
The following are examples of the types of professional
and technical services we can provide:
- Boundary and right-of-way surveys
- Aerial photography control surveys
- Traffic accident surveys
- As-built and topographical surveys
- Tree identification and mapping surveys
- Stream and structure cross-sections for hydraulic analysis
- Surveys for traffic improvement projects
- Wetland location and mapping
- Utility mapping and construction stake-out
- Construction quantity surveys
- Construction stake-out for grading utilities and roads
- Slope analysis survey
- Highway and bridge construction stakeout
